Electronic Filling

The Halal International Journal ensures that every published article is properly stored and remains permanently accessible to readers, researchers, and the general public. This policy outlines how the journal stores and preserves published content, as well as how authors may archive their work in other repositories.

  1. Journal Archiving and Digital Preservation

All articles published in *Halal International Journal* are stored electronically and preserved through the following layers of storage:

- Journal Website. All issues and articles, from the first volume to the latest edition, are available in full text on the journal’s "Archives" page. The journal is managed using Open Journal Systems (OJS), with its server maintained by the Faculty of Law, Universitas Padjadjaran.

- PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN). Journal content is preserved via the PKP Preservation Network—a LOCKSS-based system that stores copies of content across various distributed archives. Should the journal cease publication or its website become unavailable, the published content will remain accessible.

- Digital Object Identifier (DOI). Each article is assigned a DOI via Crossref. A DOI provides a permanent identifier and a stable link, ensuring that the article remains discoverable even if its web address changes.

- Indexing and National Repositories. Article metadata and full-text content are also available through various indexing and search services, such as Garuda, Google Scholar, Dimensions, Indonesia OneSearch, and WorldCat.

- Internal backup. The journal server is backed up periodically to ensure that articles, metadata, and editorial records can be recovered in the event of technical issues.

  1. Author Self-Archiving Policy

All articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, and authors retain the copyright to their work. Consequently, authors may archive their articles in other repositories without needing to seek permission from the journal and without any embargo period.

Authors may archive their articles in various locations, such as:

- Institutional repositories (e.g., the author’s affiliated institution).

- National repositories (e.g., Garuda or the Universitas Padjadjaran repository).

- Subject-specific repositories (e.g., SSRN).

- Academic profiles (e.g., Google Scholar, SINTA, ORCID, ResearchGate, or Academia.edu).

- Personal or institutional websites.

When archiving an article, authors are required to:

- Provide a citation for the original publication in *Jurnal Bina Mulia Hukum*, including the volume, issue number, year, and page numbers.

- Include the article’s DOI link.

- State that the article is licensed under CC BY 4.0.

For preprints that are subsequently accepted for publication, authors are encouraged to update their repository entries by adding a link to the published version.

  1. Archiving and Record-Keeping

The journal maintains electronic records of the editorial and peer-review processes, including submitted manuscripts, review reports, correspondence, and editorial decisions. These records support accountability and enable the journal to address inquiries or issues that may arise after publication. All such records are kept confidential and are not made public.
